Will a Plusnet SIM card work in an EE phone?

We’ve been selling our devices unlocked lately, but if you bought yours from us a while ago – it might be “locked” to EE. This means it won’t work with another mobile network’s SIM card . No matter when you bought them – these devices are already unlocked: All Google Pixel devices.

You Can Contact O2 On Social Media Its free for Contract Customers or £15 for Payg Customers. Once the unlock has been supplied you can then insert your ee sim and set up the phones settings to work with ee’s network .

In all honesty you can put a BT sim into a locked EE phone and it will still work .

Re: EE Mobile Phone We do advise anyone with an EE handset to get it unlocked as we can’t guarantee the plusnet mobile SIM will work in the device . We do use the EE network, however operate as a separate entity.

EE and O2 are two of the UK’s main four mobile operators , alongside Three and Vodafone. EE was formed in 2012 by the merger of Orange and T-Mobile, while O2 can trace its roots back to Cellnet and BT Cellnet before it became O2 in 2002. Other providers in the UK piggyback onto one of these networks.

Networks like BT Mobile, Plusnet Mobile and 1pMobile piggyback on EE’s network for coverage. It isn’t necessary to be an EE customer to get coverage from EE on your mobile phone. This is because a number of other mobile networks also offer EE coverage.25 Mar 2021

Asda Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator, which means that instead of running its own network, it ‘piggybacks’ off another networks. So far, it’s used EE’s signal , but it’s switching to Vodafone in September.
