Why did countries ban 5G

In April 2019 , Swisscom became the first to launch commercial 5G in Europe. Since then, the leading service provider has hit 5G milestone after milestone, together with Ericsson, as part of its commitment to unleash faster 5G speeds for Swiss consumers and enterprises.

Currently, 1018 communes— 46 percent of the country’s municipalities ‑ have at least one 5G antenna . As for the cantons, Bern, with 416 antennas and Zurich, with 375, are the most connected. Vaud (167) and Geneva (109) have the most antennas in the French-speaking Switzerland.17 Oca 2020

The amendment to the law stipulates that any new installation will be subject to a permit during this period. This applies to both ‘4G+’ a.k.a. 1st wave 5G, operating at the 3.5 Gigahertz frequency, and 5G at 26 Gigahertz, which has not yet been rolled out in Switzerland .
