Where is .zshrc file located in Mac?

Zsh Config Path By default, Zsh will try to find the user’s configuration files in the $HOME directory . You can change it by setting the environment variable $ZDOTDIR . Personally, I like to have all my configuration files in $HOME/. config .

Type touch ~/. zshrc to create the respective file. ( touch command will create the . zshrc in your current directory but it will be hidden)

The zsh shell provides the . zprofile under the user home directory in order to load profile related configuration. The path is ~/. zprofile and can be used like a bash profile file with zsh commands.
