When government will launch 5G in India?

The Fifth Generation or 5G telecom services are set to be rolled out in selected cities in India in 2022 . The cities which are set to get the 5G telecom services in 2022 include Gurugram, Bangalore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jamnagar, Ahmadabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Pune, and Gandhinagar.

Recently, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has said that the major cities in India— Gurugram, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jamnagar, Ahmadabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Pune, and Gandhi Nagar would be among the first cities to enjoy 5G services in 2022.

Three companies currently provide 5G services in South Africa: Rain, Vodacom, and MTN . In September 2019, Rain, South Africa’s data-only mobile operator, launched the country’s first commercial 5G network in parts of Johannesburg and Tshwane.
