When 5G can launch in India?

The 5G spectrum auction date in India is currently unknown . Once the DoT receives recommendations from the sector regulator, it can set a final date for the 5G spectrum auctions.

The Indian government plans to auction 275 MHz of spectrum in the 3.3 GHz to 3.6 GHz range for 5G services. This auction will probably take place in the first half of 2022.

The 5G trials story The three private telcos, Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea , are in the process of conducting trials. Jio is testing its indigenously developed 5G RAN and Core, while Airtel and Vodafone Idea have collaborated with Ericsson and Nokia to test 5G technology and use cases.
