What wireless microphone frequencies are legal in Canada?

It becomes illegal to do so from January 1st and strict penalties can be applied by the Australian Communication and Media Authority (ACMA) for breaches by wireless audio. If your wireless gear is quite new and operates between the 520 and 694MHz or 1790 and 1800MHz frequencies, then you don’t have a problem.

Wireless mics and monitoring systems are currently allowed to operate from 470 – 698 MHz . In the next few years, the government of Canada has demonstrated clear interest to align with the FCC and will limit operation to 470 – 608 MHz.
