What band is B71?

The 5G spectrum is a range of radio frequencies in the sub-6 GHz range and the millimeter-wave (mmWave) frequency range that is 24.25 GHz and above . The 5G spectrum refers to the radio frequencies that carry data from user equipment (UE) to cellular base stations to the data’s endpoint.

A radio frequency band near 600 MHz, used for mobile phones starting in 2017. As a newer band, it is used exclusively for newer technologies such as LTE (4G) and NR (5G) .

The LTE Band 71 band plan – B71 (600 MHz) – comprises 84 MHz bandwidth of contiguous 600 MHz spectrum and is a specific configuration of the 617 to 698 MHz band, pegged to be the most efficient spectrum arrangement to cater for mobile broadband systems.
