What band is AT&T 5G?

AT&T is currently rolling out a 5G network based on its 39GHz band (band n260) . In late May 2019, AT&T won big in an FCC auction for 24GHz spectrum.

The company’s unique combination of low-, mid- and high-band spectrum makes T-Mobile the only company with the resources to create a transformative network capable of driving innovation across the country, providing people with a 5G network nobody else can match.

Broadly speaking, Verizon offers better 4G LTE coverage, while AT&T currently has the edge when it comes to 5G (for the moment anyway). AT&T’s prices are lower, and the company includes more high-speed cellular data with its unlimited plans. However, Verizon arguably offers better perks.
