What band does T Mobile 5G use?

Our 4G LTE network is composed of the following bands: 700 MHz: Bands 12/17/29 . 850 MHz: Band 5 . 1900 MHz: Band 2 .

5G high bands (mmWave, also referred to as FR2) are found in the range of 24GHz to 40GHz . They deliver large quantities of spectrum and capacity over the shortest distances. They also use massive MIMO to expand capacity and extend coverage.

n25: Introducing 5G NR Frequency Band n25 is a frequency band designated by the 5G NR standard . Note that in 5G, the NR bands are defined with prefix of “n”. When the NR band is overlapping with the 4G LTE band, they share the same band number.

Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network uses 28 GHz and 39 GHz mmWave spectrum bands . This will aid the network in speed and capacity, as a higher number of devices will eventually be able to operate on that high-frequency spectrum.

For 5G, T-Mobile is using band 71 (600 MHz) for low-band, band 41 (2,500 Mhz) for mid-band , as well as faster mmWave in select downtown areas.

All Verizon 5G devices support bands n260 (39 GHz) and n261 (28 GHz), which are both in the high band spectrum and offer some of the fastest mobile data speeds. Starting with the OnePlus 8 UW, they will turn on NR radios in the FR1 spectrum: n2 (1.9 GHz), n5 (850 MHz), and n66 (1.7 GHz).27 May 2020
