Create consistency and use common UI elements. By using common elements in your UI, users feel more comfortable and are able to get things done more quickly.

Traits of a bad UI: Sluggish and unresponsive – interaction will be slow and clunky. Complicated – the site will be hard for people to understand. Confusing – it will be unclear about where the visitor should go next. Inconsistent design – pages will look different, throwing users off.

The bad UI acts as a shield and it wipes away all those people for whom UI or looks matters more and not the content . The system of Reddit is designed in such a way that you need to be serious enough to reach to its core. You can’t explore the core of Reddit unless you are qualified for it.
