Miners are attracted to the high performance of cards like the 3080 (and now 3080 Ti) because it means they can get more performance out of a single system , even if power efficiency is inferior to other models such as the RTX 3060 Ti FHR.

Thanks to a BIOS update for EVGA’s version of the Nvidia RTX 3080ti LHR graphics card, Ethereum miners can now enjoy 21% more hashrate .

According to Minerstat, each RTX 3080 graphics card can generate between 6.35 USD and 9.15 USD a day (that’s including electricity cost and assuming today’s Ethereum pricing). This means that the whole system can generate between 15K to 21K USD a month.

For example, Ethermine.org has configurable payout limits starting at 0.1 ETH, which would take about a month to reach with a single GPU — a single RTX 3080 will mine about 0.006 ETH per day .
