Python type or isinstance

Instance is an object that belongs to a class . For instance, list is a class in Python. When we create a list, we have an instance of the list class.

The Python’s isinstance() function checks whether the object or variable is an instance of the specified class type or data type. For example, isinstance(name, str) checks if name is an instance of a class str .

In Python, the built-in functions type() and isinstance() help you determine the type of an object.

Checking if the item exists in the list. To check if the item exists in the list, use Python “in operator” . For example, we can use in operator with if condition, and if the item exists in the list, then condition returns True, and if not, then it returns false.
