Python getattr

The type() function in Python returns the data type of the object passed to it as an argument . This function is very useful in the debugging process​.

In Python, to get the type of an object or check whether it is a specific type, use the built-in functions type() and isinstance() .16 Eyl 2019

type is a metaclass, of which classes are instances . Just as an ordinary object is an instance of a class, any new-style class in Python, and thus any class in Python 3, is an instance of the type metaclass. In the above case: x is an instance of class Foo .

type() method returns class type of the argument(object) passed as parameter . type() function is mostly used for debugging purposes. Two different types of arguments can be passed to type() function, single and three argument. If single argument type(obj) is passed, it returns the type of given object.13 Eki 2020
