When the temperature of the ground drops below 0° Celsius (32° Fahrenheit) , it freezes.

Snow and ice are not harmful to synthetic grass pitches and generally should be left to melt and drain off the system without assistance. At times, however, it may be necessary to remove snow or ice to make the pitch playable for a scheduled event.18 Şub 2021

During the winter months an artificial grass pitch will retail a large moisture content and inevitably this moisture will freeze , causing the surface to become hard and often unsafe to play on. It is not uncommon for a synthetic surface to remain frozen even when surrounding natural grass areas have thawed.
