We have a new member in our programming languages family and it’s none other than Kotlin. In Google I/O ’17, they have finally announced that for android the official first class support will be given to the Kotlin .

Kotlin is now Google’s preferred language for Android app development . Google today announced that the Kotlin programming language is now its preferred language for Android app developers. “Android development will become increasingly Kotlin-first,” Google writes in today’s announcement.7 May 2019
