Are chars case-sensitive in Java?

The comparison is “case- sensitive” meaning that the char ‘A’ is considered to be different from the char ‘a’ . There is a variant of equals() called equalsIgnoreCase() that compares two strings, ignoring uppercase/lowercase differences. The Java String class implement many useful methods.
