Is T-Mobile band 71 important?

T-Mobile’s band 71 is not amplified by most consumer cellular boosters. The only available booster that does amplify band 71 is the WilsonPro 710i , which is designed for commercial buildings and large homes. It requires preapproval from T-Mobile to operate on their network.

If you need a refresher, band 71 is a low-frequency, 600 MHz band T-Mobile purchased in 2017. This frequency range travels twice as far and works four times better in buildings than conventional LTE bands . Band 71 also provides better coverage in remote areas and in homes.

T-Mobile has been aggressively rolling out LTE coverage on Band 71 over the past years, and we now consider support for this band important for those relying on T-Mobile and traveling outside of urban areas.
