Is Mana the same as Decentraland?

Decentraland (MANA) is a virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain. It allows users to create, experience, and monetize content and applications. It’s based on the metaverse concept from Neal Stephenson’s book Snow Crash .30 Oca 2022

MANA is the digital asset token used to pay for goods and services in Decentraland. It is built on Ethereum in accordance with the ERC20 standard for tokens. MANA can be bought and sold for fiat currency or other digital currencies. MANA can be stored in a crypto wallet and custodian like Gemini.

Two different types of tokens govern operations in Decentraland. These are: LAND – A non-fungible token (NFT) used to define the ownership of land parcels representing digital real estate. MANA – A cryptocurrency that facilitates purchases of LAND, as well as virtual goods and services used in Decentraland .
