Is it better to be on a 5G network?

5G can be significantly faster than 4G , delivering up to 20 Gigabits-per-second (Gbps) peak data rates and 100+ Megabits-per-second (Mbps) average data rates. 5G has more capacity than 4G. 5G is designed to support a 100x increase in traffic capacity and network efficiency. 5G has lower latency than 4G.

The 5G phones allows for interoperability with 4G/3G/2G network . Therefore, 5G phones work with 4G network, as same as 4G phones work with 3G network.

According to digital trends, 3G can reach network speeds of 7.2 mbps, 4G can reach network speeds of 150 mbps and 5G will eventually reach speeds in excess of 1gbps (with a theoretical maximum of 20gbps!)
