Is 5G legal in Europe?

The EU has no specific power for 5G and has also to respect national powers. As a system with competences divided and shared between the Union and its Member States, each of them must act within the limits of its own competences and with respect for the competences of the others.

The United States, Australia and Vietnam have banned Chinese companies from providing its 5G equipment due to security concerns. The United Kingdom is also expected to implement a complete ban following resistance from MPs.
