Is 5G already existing?

Is 5G available now? A: Yes, 5G is already here today , and global operators started launching new 5G networks in early 2019. Also, all major phone manufacturers are commercializing 5G phones. And soon, even more people may be able to access 5G.

5G Ultra Wideband began rolling out on April 3, 2019 , and is presently available in parts of 1,700 cities. 5G Nationwide covers well over 2,000 cities.

Late last year, union minister for railways, communications and electronics, and information technology Ashiwini Vaishnaw had forecast that the 5G spectrum was likely to take place by April-May 2022 .

The fifth generation networks (5G) is currently under development and will hit the market at the horizon 2020 . Compared with the current 4G LTE technology, 5G is targeting to reach both high speed (1 Gbps), low power and low latency (1ms or less), for massive IoT, tactile internet and robotics.
