Is 3G faster than 5G?

Is 3G good enough? If you do the above activities primarily while connected to a Wi-fi network, you can probably be just fine with a 3G mobile device/service . If you use your phone mostly to talk and text and only occasionally stream video or music while on the mobile network, 3G will probably work well for you.

According to digital trends, 3G can reach network speeds of 7.2 mbps , 4G can reach network speeds of 150 mbps and 5G will eventually reach speeds in excess of 1gbps (with a theoretical maximum of 20gbps!)

It would take over 2 hours to download on 3G. 5G reduces the time it would take to 35 seconds . 4G boasts peak speeds clocking in at 150Mbps upload and 50Mbps download speeds. These are vast improvements over 3G, yet the full promise of 4G has never been realized.4 May 2021
