Is 2.4 GHz harmful?

Wireless electronics have used 2.4 and 5 GHz radio frequencies for years. These are not harmful , nor is any property unique to Wi-Fi harmful, according to new scientific evidence.

The WHO/International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has classified radiofrequency electromagnetic fields as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B), based on an increased risk for glioma, a malignant type of brain cancer, associated with wireless phone use.

The most restrictive limits on whole-body exposure are in the frequency range of 30-300 MHz where the human body absorbs RF energy most efficiently when the whole body is exposed.
