As with last year’s iPhones, the new iPhone 11 models support T-Mobile’s latest 600MHz (band 71) spectrum that works significantly better indoors. The company says this new spectrum reaches twice as far as its prior network and “penetrates walls for 4x better coverage in-buildings.”

Apple’s iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X are not compatible with LTE Band 71 , aka T-Mobile’s new 600 MHz spectrum the company plans on rolling out in the United States as soon as this year.

The short answer is no. Apple’s new phones don’t support Band 71 and can’t be made to. You’ll have to wait until Apple’s next iPhone refresh to get that capability.15 Eyl 2017
