Install ADB on Chromebook Linux

ADB is now available to deploy apps to your Chromebook, run debugging commands and interact directly with the device . To ensure that your Android app works well on a variety of Chromebook devices and available form factors, Google recommends that you test your app on the following devices: An ARM-based Chromebook.

In order to use ADB and Fastboot on your Chromebook, you’ll need to use something called Crosh—short for “Chrome Shell.” Think of it as a sort of lightweight terminal just for Chrome OS. Set up Android Debug Bridge (ADB) Important: Once you turn on ADB, it’s available to all accounts on your Chromebook . To turn it off, you must factory reset (Powerwash) your Chromebook. Make sure Linux is set up. Make sure your device supports Android apps.
