Instagram currently features the world’s largest deployment of the Django web framework , which is written entirely in Python.

They use some part of their app in react native not fully react native apps. But F8 app is build in react native. Also their are Instagram and skype build in react native.

We recommend going with Django for the backend and Reactjs for the frontend . The Django Rest framework will be used to connect the frontend (Reactjs) with the backend (Django). If you are more comfortable with Python or JavaScript, you can decide based on this.
