How to calculate bandwidth with frequency

To calculate frequency, divide the number of times the event occurs by the length of time . Example: Anna divides the number of website clicks (236) by the length of time (one hour, or 60 minutes).

To convert a hertz measurement to a gigahertz measurement, divide the frequency by the conversion ratio. The frequency in gigahertz is equal to the hertz divided by 1,000,000,000 .

As the unit we began with was meters we now know that the wavelength of a 2.4GHz signal is 0.125 meters or 12.5cm.

At higher frequencies, the wavelength is narrower (2.4GHz=12.5cm. 5Ghz=6cm ) so less of it would hit the same antenna.
