What does GSM only mean?

GSM is a type of cellular network that AT&T and others use. CDMA is another network type that mostly just Verizon uses. GSM only means that it will only work on carriers that use that network , which Verizon does not and therefore you can’t use it with Verizon (and other carriers that use CDMA)
