How effective is Aerobika?

Each 10-20 minute treatment should be performed at least twice a day. The goal is to produce little to no mucus on a daily basis which means your lungs are clear. If you are bringing up a lot of mucus, you need to use your Aerobika* Oscillating PEP more often.

An Aerobika is a handheld device you breathe into. Using your Aerobika can help clear secretions (mucus) from your airways, making it easier to breathe . An Aerobika has 4 parts (see Figure 1).23 Ara 2020

For a patient after 1 year, the use of the Aerobika® device would save $694 in healthcare costs and produce 0.04 more in quality-adjusted life years (QALYs) in comparison with no positive expiratory pressure (PEP)/OPEP therapy.

Place the Aerobika mouthpiece in your mouth. Seal your lips tightly around the mouthpiece. Take in a fairly deep breath and hold it for about 2-3 seconds. Exhale actively (but not too forcefully) through the mouthpiece until you no longer hear the flutter.1 Kas 2019
