How do you calculate Binance funding rate?

Funding payments occur every 8 hours at 00:00 UTC; 08:00 UTC and 16:00 UTC for all Binance Futures perpetual contracts. Traders are only liable for funding payments in either direction if they have open positions at the pre-specified funding times. If traders do not have a position, they are not liable for any funding.

Binance calculates the Premium Index every five seconds (12 premium index data points in a minute) and the Funding Rate is calculated by taking the time-weighted average across all 5,760 premium index data points .

To transfer funds to your Futures Wallet, click on Transfer on the right side of the Binance Futures page. Set the amount that you’d like to transfer and click on Confirm transfer . You should be able to see the balance added to your Futures Wallet shortly.
