T-Mobile’s new plan lets customers upgrade their phones whenever they want, up to three times a year . The “Jump On Demand” program is essentially a phone leasing program. You can trade in your borrowed phone for another one as long as you keep paying your monthly wireless bill to T-Mobile (TMUS).

There is no upgrade charge if you do it online which is what I did last time I upgraded.

So which is better: purchasing phones online or in-store? The answer depends on your personal preferences . With online purchases, you get more selection but less support unless you buy from your carrier’s website. With in-store, you may have less selection but receive more support.
