How do I change my phone from 2.4GHz to 5GHz?

Tap Settings > Wi-Fi, tap the three-dot overflow icon, then tap Advanced > Wi-Fi Frequency Band. Now, pick a band: either 2.4GHz (slower, but longer range) or 5GHz (faster, but shorter range).

Open Settings, and then search for and select Network mode . Tap Network mode, and then tap an option that includes 5G connectivity, or GLOBAL. Restart your phone.

Go to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options . If you see this screen, your device has 5G activated. If you don’t see this screen, contact your carrier to confirm that your plan supports 5G.
