How do I become a content provider?

Android applications can access data directly from a SQLite database using the database helper but for other applications to get access to the same data you have to create a Content Provider .

The structure of any Content URI can be divided into four types: Prefix -Usually, the prefix is set to content://. Authority – It contains the name of the Provider. Path – It contains the location of the data .
