Do NOT try mining on a laptop – almost guarenteed to kill it very quickly as laptops are NOT designed for high-load continuous usage (using a laptop to control a USB-interface miner is OK as that doesn’t put significant load on the laptop).

Can you still mine Ethereum with 4GB?

4GB VRAM graphics cards are not good for Ethereum mining because they do not have sufficient memory to run the GPU-intensive calculations of Ethereum mining. The current DAG size is 3.49GB for Ethereum and 3.58 GB for Ethereum Classic. This means that GPUs with 3 GB or less VRAM cannot mine it anymore.
