Developer Relations (DevRel) is an interdisciplinary role that sits in a border space between product, engineering, and marketing .

Google Developers (previously Google Code) is Google’s site for software development tools and platforms, application programming interfaces (APIs), and technical resources .

Cloud Developer Advocates drive customer success by reaching the hearts & minds of developers through inspiring & educating them about Google Cloud .

Developer Relations is the umbrella term for the team whose primary responsibility is building a community both online and offline . This includes Developer Advocacy, Developer Experience, Events, Community Management, Content, etc.

As a Software Developer, Developer Relations you will be on the software development wing of Developer Relations, helping ensure that Google Cloud and related open source projects for developers are excellent . In this role, you will provide feedback on API design, platform consistency, and functionality.

DevRel, or developer relations, is a process for nurturing mutually beneficial relationships between organisations and software developers . In other words, it’s a collection of strategies and tactics that help companies to work better together with software engineers.
