About supported languages Most GitHub features work regardless of which languages your code is written in . You can search for code or enable syntax highlighting based on any language known to GitHub.

GitHub uses the open source Linguist library to determine file languages for syntax highlighting and repository statistics. Language statistics will update after you push changes to your default branch.

Changing the Repo Language Shown

Just click on one of the languages to switch to it – it will store your language choice in your session. If your browser has the Accept-Language header set and you have not selected a language choice yet, we’ll prompt at the top of the page if you want us to switch to that language.13 Tem 2010
