Flutter breathing device

A flutter is a device used by people with respiratory conditions to help loosen secretions (phlegm) in the chest . The device, shaped like a pipe is handheld. The user breathes out through the device which causes a small ball at the opposite end of the pipe to vibrate.

There are two main ways inhaled medicine is used: with an inhaler and with a nebulizer . Inhalers and nebulizers have the same purpose: to get the medicine into your lungs. Both deliver the same type of medicine, and they work equally well when you use them the way you should.

CONCLUSIONS: The use of a flutter valve for 30 min/d for at least 4 weeks is enough to change physical properties and improve mucus transport by coughing and can contribute to the reduction of the total number of inflammatory cells of the respiratory secretions of subjects with bronchiectasis.
