Having taken the course myself a few years ago, I can’t say I’m surprised: the course is excellent . It has dedicated instructors, excellent production values, and its content is refreshed annually. Most notably, the course will continue to offer a free certificate of completion in 2020.

In order to get a Course Certificate, you must:

Anyone you share your certificate with can validate its authenticity directly on Coursera by visitintg this URL “coursera.org/verify/your_verification_code” in the lower right-hand corner of your Verified Certificate.

If you are new to a certain field and you need something to showcase your knowledge, then pursuing a verified course could be good . If you already have a solid background, and you are just interested in increasing your knowledge or advancing your career, then you don’t really need to pursue a verified certificate.

A verified certificate shows that you have successfully passed an edX course in the verified track . You can find more information on upgrading to the verified track here.

HOW IT WORKS

Verified certificates are certificates of completion with a fee that varies by course . Many learners use verified certificates for job and school applications.
