Today, Nokia is far from dead , and in fact, has made an impressive comeback under the leadership of Finnish based HMD Global, who bought the exclusive rights to market the Nokia brand via license in 2017.

Its version of Android is close to stock and uncluttered , and it’s been pretty good at ensuring a vast number of its devices stay current by receiving a jump to the next version of Android and beyond (not to mention long-term security updates, too).

The Nokia brand is now controlled by HMD Global – a company founded by former Nokia employees that released a line of smartphones in 2017. The company still manufactures hardware and is involved in the roll-out of the 5G wireless network, among other things.16 Tem 2021

HMD Global Oy , branded as HMD and Nokia Mobile, is a Finnish mobile phone manufacturer. The company is made up of the mobile phone business that Nokia sold to Microsoft in 2014, then bought back in 2016.
