Do I need IntelliJ for Android Studio?

Both can be used to develop Android Apps. Infact Android Studio is based on IntelliJ , but with some tweaks and optimisations added by Google for developing Android Apps, easily and effectively. So, in this regard, I would say Android Studio is better than IntelliJ.
