Disadvantages of 2G internet

Drawbacks of 2G technology :

The drawbacks of 1G are limited channel capacity, the large size of the phones, low quality of voice and low battery life . On the other hand, the drawback of 2G is the slow rate of data transmission and low network ranges.

Limitations of 1G Mobile Communication: It does not have data service to convert the voice into digital signals . Global Roaming Service was not possible, low capacity, unreliable hand off, Poor Voice Quality because in 1G, the data can be carried by only one channel from source to destination .

Data transmission at long distances may result in undesirable signal disturbances. Analog signals are prone to generation loss . Analog signals are subject to noise and distortion, as opposed to digital signals which have much higher immunity. Analog signals are generally lower quality signals than digital signals.
