Can HF radio communicate with VHF and UHF?

If you have a VHF radio – you need a VHF radio to communicate with it, or a multi band radio that does both – license necessary – of course. The same is true of a UHF radio – you either need another UHF radio or a radio that does multi bands simultaneously .8 Haz 2019

Yes it will work . The radio frequencies didn’t change, it’s how the information is encoded. In the USA the lower VHF channels were reassigned for other uses so stations using those channels had to switch to UHF. So in the USA you’ll need an antenna with very good UHF reception.

CB or its close relatives fall into the HF frequency range (covering somewhere around 26 to 28 MHz, depending on country), so anything that accurately calls itself a VHF radio will not transmit (and most likely will not receive) CB.
