We are retiring the ability to download and install Bitdefender Antivirus Free for Windows as of December 2021 . Bitdefender Antivirus Free for Android is unaffected and will continue. Only the free Windows desktop version is being phased out.

In summary, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus will be just fine for many, unless you need a lot of devices – maybe across different platforms – covered, perhaps for your whole family, in which case Bitdefender Total Security is your best bet.
