The course is well-designed for beginners but might not be helpful to those who are planning to make a career in data science . Andrew Ng’s original Machine Learning course is still the best introductory course out there in my opinion, even if it may be a bit dated.

The simple answer is NO . Andrew’s course is one of the best foundational course for machine learning. The course is intended for those who want to start learning Machine Learning. The course doesn’t teach much maths behind algorithms.
