Talking about the 4G upload speeds, Airtel (4.2 Mbps) has overtaken Jio (3.6 Mbps) . Lastly, TRAI has rated Jio as the fastest mobile operator in terms of download speeds.

DoT confirmed in a press release that 5G services will be available in up to 13 cities across the country in 2022, including Delhi, Gurugram, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Jamnagar, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Pune, and Gandhi Nagar.

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel has completed its first 5G trial in the 700 MHz band on the outskirts of Kolkata with technical support from Nokia, the telecom operator said in a statement. The telco claims it was the first 5G trial in eastern India.

The cities which are set to get the 5G telecom services in 2022 include Gurugram, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Delhi, Jamnagar, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Pune, and Gandhinagar.
