For most people, 4G mobile internet will be a bit faster than a home Wi-Fi network . 5G will be much faster than most current Wi-Fi networks.

Latency. Download and upload speeds aren’t the only things that have been improved because 4G also has a better response time than 3G – due to lower “latency”. This means that a device connected to a 4G mobile network will get a quicker response to a request than the same device connected to a 3G mobile network.

4G data networks have revolutionized the mobile industry and paved the way for the widespread use of today’s mobile devices. Another advantage of 4G networks is its much lower latency. Low latency is important when real-time interaction is required, for instance, in video conferencing or online gaming.

In laymans terms, the difference between 4G and LTE is that 4G is faster than LTE. The reason for this is that 4G meets the technical standards designated for it whereas LTE data transfer speed standard is merely a stopgap measure standard devised until actual 4G speed is realized .

4G is faster than 3G by a long shot . 4G is the general standard now and is considered fairly fast in today’s world. It has more capacity than lower generations and thus, less bandwidth caps.
