Of the two, I think you’ll find that Illustrator is both harder to learn , and a graphics application that you’ll use less frequently than Photoshop. At least, that’s what I’ve seen and experienced over the years. So if you want to learn both Illustrator and Photoshop, my suggestion would be to start with Photoshop.
