(1) Your microwave oven does, indeed, transmit radio waves in the same frequency range as WiFi (2.4GHz) . But much higher power (most are rated 700–1000 watts, whereas WiFi is limited by law to 0.5 watts). That’s why you must keep the microwave oven door closed, or you WOULD cook everyone in the room.
