During the attack on the Royal Palace of East Gorteau, both Ikalgo and Welfin remember Gyro as their king . Welfin believes Gyro to still be alive, so after the deaths of Meruem and the Royal Guards, Welfin goes with his friends to Meteor City to try and find Gyro as he creates a new nation.
